Operation Atlantic Resolve was initiated in 2014, during the Obama administration. It was a response to Russia’s military activities in Ukraine. The intention was to send a clear message to the world that the United States would not stand by while a country’s sovereignty was violated and borders were forcibly redrawn.
Fast forward to the present, and we see President Biden authorizing the deployment of 3,000 reservists. However, these troops are not being sent to Ukraine. Instead, they’re being deployed to support our allies. But is this a strategic move, or are we provoking a larger conflict?
With this move, Operation Atlantic Resolve has been classified as a “contingency operation.” This means that our reservists will receive the same pay and support as active-duty troops. But are we taking this too far? Are we risking a war that nobody wants?
Since Russia’s actions in Ukraine began in 2022, we’ve sent over 20,000 additional forces to Europe. This brings the total to more than 100,000 U.S. service members across Europe. But is this the right response? Are we just adding fuel to the fire?
Now, Biden has authorized even more personnel. But will they be deployed? And if so, how many? And why? Are we preparing for a war that hasn’t been declared? Are we escalating a conflict that could be resolved through diplomacy?
At the end of the day, this isn’t just about troops. It’s about our values and standing up against aggression. But it’s also about wisdom and understanding the consequences of our actions. Are we marching towards World War 3? And if so, why? That’s something we all need to consider.
Stay tuned for more updates and insights on this critical issue. It’s crucial that we stay informed and vigilant as we navigate these uncertain times.
